Guida per le prese elettriche nel mondo

I viaggiatori esperti sono consapevoli delle numerose prese di corrente che vengono usate in tutto il mondo. Ma il problema può nascere, comunque, quando ci si reca per la prima volta in un nuovo Paese e si cerca di collegare il proprio rasoio ad una presa non idonea: ci si trova a voler inserire un piolo rotondo in un buco quadrato!

Presa unica in tuto il mondo

Ma perché ci sono tanti tipi di spine e prese di corrente? E perché non c’è una unica presa utilizzabile in tutto il mondo?

Queste sono sicuramente domande che vi siete fatti tante volte, durante i vostri viaggi.

Il motivo è molto semplice, e risale a quando è stata introdotta nelle case delle famiglie l’energia elettrica. Alla fine del 19° secolo infatti l’energia era utilizzata principalmente per l’illuminazione e  per decenni non era necessario avere specifici adattatori in quanto il cablaggio veniva fatto direttamente in casa.

Le cose cambiarono quando ci fu il boom dei primi elettrodomestici e i primi produttori iniziarono autonomamente, in ogni Paese, a sviluppare le proprie spine e prese elettriche. I viaggi non erano ancora così diffusi come oggi e quindi non c’era la necessità di trasportare il proprio elettrodomestico fuori dai confini. In pratica non è stata creata compatibilità tra Paese e Paese.

Oggi questo problema si può  risolvere con un semplice adattatore internazionale, acquistabile anche on line a poche decine di euro e avere così la garanzia di far funzionare il proprio dispositivo elettronico ovunque.

Ma anche i Paesi si stanno adeguando a questo tema. Ad esempio in Cina i moderni edifici e hotel dispongono di un unico plug che può accogliere una notevole varietà di spine internazionali. Oppure in certe strutture alberghiere nel mondo ci sono già adattatori universali per accogliere le esigenze dei loro ospiti.

Insomma, il tema è sicuramente in evoluzione anche se una regolamentazione internazionale a riguardo potrebbe incrementare la connessione e migliorare i processi di globalizzazione. A questo proposito ci sta lavorando la IEC – Commissione Elettrotecnica Internazionale che è l’organizzazione leader mondiale che definisce e  pubblica norme internazionali per tutte le tecnologie elettriche, elettroniche e correlate.

La IEC ha creato a tal proposito uno schema informativo e pratico che spiega e fornisce informazioni sulle spine, prese e tensione utilizzati in tutto il mondo.
